Took it out for a spin around the track a few laps. Anti-squat mod helped a ton in mid-motor. Moving to AE springs helped a bunch as well.

Shaved down the inner hinge pin brace 2mm to get 1mm anti-squat.

i finished switching mine around to mid motor. i'm looking forward to getting some laps in next week. i hate the way i had to wire it but it will work.
hobbywing v2.1 barely fits, i had to dremel part of the battery brace to get it to fit. tekin rs fit great...until i fired it.

I'm having a weird problem.

One of my buggies has a lot of slop in the front wheels. When I say slop, I mean a lot of side to side play. My other buggies have front wheels that feel tight.

The rims are standard white Atomik wheels. I have replaced the bearings with new ones out of the kit. The screws are the correct size. I'm at a loss. I have tried to add a washer (shim) behind the wheel and it was binding. I tried to add the small washer on the front side but it also binds the wheel.

Any suggestions before I go crazy?

Check to see if the bearings have play in the front wheels that's were my problem was they don't fit tight in the wheel.

That seems like it is exactly the problem. But the weird thing is, they are new bearings and new wheels right out of a new kit. Way too much play for my liking.

Very strange. If I use a new pair of DE Racing wheels for a Durango, they fit perfectly tight.

Well first race down.

3 full heats of stock buggy. Qual last in the B main. Managed a 4th place finish.

My 2 quals had some handling and tire issues. Only managed 14 laps ea. My main I dropped .5 sec on my fastest lap time and managed 18 laps. The a main guys are pulling 19 and 20. Keep in mind this my first real night of club racing in many months, and I'm still developing a setup.

I need a good full day of practice to work on the car. Today I literally left work and drove to the track, got it ready and had 0 practice laps on the car and it was a fresh new track. Everyone was running slicks.

I may try the anti-squat mod. I hope to race next friday in our series. Perhaps this week I'll try and get in a practice day.

I ran as well on my new set up I am working on. Car felt good but the rear shocks were not right. Car would slap hard off our monster triple and bound the rear into the air. Did some tuning and the car felt better and I was working on down-siding the jump which kept the car settled. Ended up qualifying 2nd in 2wd mod. Blew out a shock in the main and ended up having my battery get unplugged (dont ask, rookie mistake). Changes I made through the day were better each time, but a little more tuning is needed before I give out my set up for others to try.

I run @ Pegasus in Montclair, CA. Outdoor, good amount of clay, after the sun goes down it have really good traction. During the daytime, it can dry out and be slippery.
