The Official Atomik / Venom V2MR RedEdition® 2WD Race Spec Buggy

The big bore kit works. You leave out the top hat bushing as there is nothing like that in the Atomik shocks.

Not sure how well the steering rack components will work.
The biggest changes I made were losi 22 r hubs and I went with ae 30deg caster and spindles. I also swapped in my jco hex conversion up front to make sharing tires on my 4.2 and V2MR easier. I also switched to AE v2 shocks with BB spring conversion. For some reason my stock shocks were too inconsistent.
Waiting for parts to arrive and I'll update pics of my buggy.
cant wait to race it.

How do you guys like this buggy? Ive been racing an rb5 for a while now but an offer has come up for one of these. I really like the feel of mid motor which is why im interested in switching.

from reading (thank goodness only
37 posts) that for the coin and if you are a seasoned driver, how can you pass it up?. my self is more of a hobbyist but always enjoyed the involvement here at Rc Tech.
i just did not want to spend another grand + on a two wheel bug.(with all the optionals, spares of course).
i read what i have found here is the most informative, and even as inexpensive this vehicle is people will find at least this car is comparable
to any thing else (not saying better). but on that note i may just buy another for spares.
i'm hoping for more input here on some set-up sheets.
now if they would just make a 4x4 kit.

This car looks really good for the price. The 3Racing Cactus and Hobao H2 also have my attention as far as budget buggies go. The H2 especially, can't seem to find it anywhere but it sure comes pretty loaded. I'm probably leaning toward the Cactus the most because of the advantage of parts availability, but the price of the VMR2 can't be ignored.

i just found this last night.
anyway when you go to Cars/Trucks on Atomik's site,
replacement items is only one page (48 items),
but the RC Parts & Hop Ups there is 3 pages (108) items.

I like the design of the car and everything otherwise and yes, the price is crazy for what comes with the kit

just want to say that my LHS (Hobby Town USA) have very few parts for the vehicles i build and run, mostly boats and cars/trucks
they have enough on planes , Traxxas and a small amount of hop ups
of own house brands. that said i shop there as much as possible, mostly scratch build items, glue, paint, fiber glass, washers, nuts ect...
i emailed Atomik (and read somewhere back a ways) that this car should be here to stay
how many CO. can say "Two Cars for the price of One"
ps when LHS has to speacial order somethn'
i always find it for less else where.
