The Official Atomik / Venom V2MR RedEdition® 2WD Race Spec Buggy
#256

Here is my base setup for a medium to high bite indoor track and a link to a video with a couple practice laps http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCyh4k8s_g4
Rear motor
Shocks: 30 wt. losi front oil, 27.5 rear. Four hole non-tapered pistons front and rear with stock springs. 4.5mm of limiting in the front and 2mm rear.
Shock Location:
Front: second hole from inside on top, outer hole on bottom
Rear: Second hole from inside on top, middle hole on bottom.
Turn buckles:
Steering: Ball stud on forward hole on steering rack.
Front: Inside hole on the tower with no shims. Outside hole on the hub.
Rear: Inside hole on bulkhead, middle on the hub.
Camber: -.5 degree front and rear
Ride Height: 23.5mm measured from chassis, not t-plate
Battery Location: Stick pack down the middle spaced all the way forward.
Wing all the way forward.
Weight: 1530g with a venom 3800 35c lipo and 14g. on the left side of the chassis. I have the esc mounted on the shelf down the center of the car.
Motor:9.5t
Thoughts:
The car has a lot of forward traction, but it is still very responsive and turns into corners aggressively. I have started to do some testing with a shorty pack and it gives the car a more nimble feel, good for tight corners and high traction tracks. For a shorty pack, you will probably want to go to 27.5 wt. oil in the fron and 25 wt. rear.

Austin
I'd like to take a look at that buggy some time? I race in cbus here and there as well as The Factory. I'm off for at least two weeks getting a new radio ready to go but I will probably go to EN once I get it on a Sunday to set it up.

I don't really race at the factory due to the longer drive, but maybe we can meet up at en some time. I'm not racing as much as I would like to right now because of high school sports, but the car has been very good so far.

And thank you for making me feel so old. With a new radio coming there is no way I'm going to crcrc the first Sunday with it or the factory. I also work second shift so Saturday morning to EN is a bit of a stretch. Radio will hopefully be ready the weekend after next?

There will be another one coming to Ohio soon to join the one Austin has. Looking forward to the build and racing it.
