Default Over Voltage Lipo - how to fix?

I have a lipo that if I hook it to my hyperion charger it says over voltage and it won't charge.

Someone said you can charge it on the nicad setting somehow and get the voltage down, any clue?

Thanks

Discharge it to 8v without the balance plug.

Or throw it in the car and run it for a bit.

The 2nd one is the fun way. First way is boring.

It almost sounds like your charger is set to a smaller lipo setting and is telling you the battery is over voltage for the setting?

Charging will only make the voltage go UP , not down.
