I'm in the same boat, and had the same question. I'm still a bit of a newb so my threshold of need is pretty high, I'm sure the truck i better than I am out of the box.

If you are new, just put it together and install quality electronics. Get the right tires for your track. Frank Root's set up is pretty good to start with. You really don't need any "hop-ups" for this one. As you get used to the truck, you may want some things to suit your driving or track like different springs or changes in front kick up. The truck really is pretty great out of the box with the right set up.

The first page of the 22SCT thread has a lot of info that carries over to the stadium truck. I added a few aluminum parts to beef it up. hexes, bulkheads etc.. you can hop it up and still be below what the kit cost retail. Have fun its a great truck!!!

Happy I got a 22T for $149 last night but still mad i missed one last week on Ebay with all the aluminum hop up parts already on it.

Will the aluminum parts come down in price?

I'll take new over clapped out with a couple shiny bits any day. You missed out on nothing most likely. Unless you know who you're buying from directly, 9 times out of 10 you end up replacing more parts on the used R/C than it's worth.

Realistically, front spindles w/kingpins and maybe caster blocks are the only thing I'd go out of my way to buy to bullet proof things. Most everything else can be used for tuning for weight and/or "bling".

I'm planning to try out Trevor Adamo's setup. For the rear shock limiter's he has down "4 turns unscrewed(2mm)". Does he mean no limiters and unscrew shock end(TLR5095) 4 turns? Or something else? Thanks in advance.

You are correct, just unscrew the shock end 2mm from all the way in, or 4 turns if your not into metrics.

Clamping hexes front and rear. Oh and throw an extra steering rack in your box. I have seen people break them when they are brand new. Once they get broke in and have a little bit of play it is not a problem at all. Myself and two other people have snapped one on its first few runs but after a raceday they seem to be good.

We'll that sucks! Why not? Any plans of releasing them separately? What do you suggest as an alternative? Also what are the two extra flat triangular pieces in the MM wing package for?

They won't be releasing them, they discontinued the car for some reason. Your best bet is cutting it out of a water bottle or something similar as suggested.
