yes you can put shims behind the pin to space the tire out a touch or get offset aluminum wheel hex hubs.

Been having problems overheating 13.5 motors. Was geared 23-22/75 and overheated 3 lrp x-11's (180-200 degrees) in only 5-6 minutes. Switched to a Trinity d3.5 13.5 and went to 24/75. Temp's are down a little but still over 150 (my buggy is temp'ing @ 105 after 15 min on the same track/day. Going to try a 26 tooth pinion this weekend. Drivetrain is as free as you could want it. Esc is a lrp sxx ss v2 in blinky. Can some one that runs 13.5 blinky tell me what gearing you are running on a medium sized clay track (90x50)?

Gear down. Or reduce timing in the can.

The older X11's once over heated they pretty much died. 200F degrees is hot, running it that hot will kill most motors, the X11 especially, some motors may survive it and be ok, bu they will have lost some power/life. Ideally you'd like to be no hotter than 160F. What does the manual recommend for 13.5 gearing? Like said above, gear down - smaller pinion, and make sure you haven't jacked up your timing. Go back to stock setting, or back to zero. Your buggy's tires and overall weight is a lot less than a ST, so it'll be cooler for sure - even after 15 minutes. Try a 22T pinion. Drive it at race pace for 3 minutes & check your temps. If this keeps happening, try a different speed control - you may have a blown FET or circuitry or issue you cannot see.

I just rebuil tmy diff for the first time. I broke it in and tightened it several times, using advice from several you tube videos. My problem is that it is still chirping. Anyone know what I can do to get rid of this.

Anytime you redo the diff you should loosen the slipper if not take it apart and unglaze the slipper plates and then reset the slipper as well.

pm me a email address and I will send you mine. I run at T & T Speedway in Shreveport, LA. It is an indoor clay high bite track. I also have a setup for an outdoor med bite track.

Raced my 22T for the first time on Saturday feb, 2nd. I have found my new favorite class to run. With the stock setup and gold BarCodes on all 4 wheels, this truck was amazing. I'm running an old Trinity Nemmesis 13.5 with boost. Finished 7th in the B main, I am pleased with the results as I have not done any setup or practice with it, first time I drove it was the first heat and placed 3rd.

I really hope this class will continue to grow stronger.

At my local track which is 8th scale sized track we run ST class 10-15 people we have. Are biggest problem is tires selection for outdoor tracks.

+1, most companies just don't make a good outdoor tire for stadium truck.

Panther has a few though, like the Komodo Dragon perhaps?

There are lot of tires out there from Losi, Panther, JC and Pro-line. What kind of tires are the 8th scale guys using. It will give me an idea of what might work for 2wd ST
