Try doing this mod. Do the same thing for more clearance on the spindle.

From the rear grab the right wheel and give the left wheel a flick. Nothing crazy just a nice little spin. You can add a small sharpie line on the rim for reference. If it turns between 3/4 to 1 1/4 I'd say you're pretty close.

I tried that mod and it helped. Are you using the new ballcaps that they sent out for the 22SCT? Those are the only ones i haven't tried yet. And my son has put my 22sct through a lot and havent popped a ballcap.

Dang it I hate when I am in the wrong thread. The 22T ball cup pop is usually an issue with the wheels hitting. Either don't tighten down the front wheels quite as much or get the new optional front hexes and that should solve most of your problem. I am using SCTE hexes with about .5mm shim between the bearing and the drive pin and I can crank my wheels down. I have not popped a ball cup since going to the alum clamping hexes.

I use the 22 buggy standard offset aluminum hexes on the front of my 22t and never have had a problem.

So what your saying is the diff is set to the point just before the ball diff slips

NO. You always need to get the diff close to a good setting before you set the slipper. If your slipper is too tight and the diff slipps it will ruin the diff. You always set the diff first and then the slipper. Slipper always needs to give before the diff.

Yes, but I was just asking if he meant slipper since he put diff twice in his question. I wanted to make sure that's what he was getting at before basically saying what you just did, slipper slips before the diff does. either way, safe then sorry so no one ruins there diffs prematurely going off wrong info

Assuming the std 22 hexes are the same offset as the front 22T?
