TLR 22T Thread
1.7 is for Trever's truck setup. We are running 1.6mm pistons quite a bit on the 22 (buggy) and sometimes on the 22SCT, so we did the post about 1.6mm pistons, as they seem to be used the most. The smaller hole with pack more, and thus feel a like more progressive. I'd start with the Trever Adamo setup, and if you want to try 1.6's, you'll need to go down 5 or 7.5wt to accomodate the change. You don't change pistons to alter static dampening (around ride height), you usually change pistons to alter dynamic dampening (more extreme movements, ie landing jumps) so you want the compensate the piston change by changing oil too to keep the static dampening the same, or very close to it.
As always, Great info/explanation! Thanks Frank!

Now not having taken my 22T apart to caliper the 30* stock pivot lock I can only say the above would be true for the 22. I wouldn't think the 22T chassis would be different as many parts are interchangeable.
Hope this helps.

Start with Ryan Dunford's set up:

At the end of last season, I was struggling with the 22T, but recently went with Dunford's setup and it has been very good! Again, Good luck to you!

Somewhere in this thread, there is something mentioned about adding some spacers under the transmission; at least I think that's where they were added. What exactly is this mod and what does it help with?
Thanks in advance.
