The threaded kingpins are really the first upgrade to get on any 22, so it'll be good for you to get those.

Need help! I am new to this truck and noticed when building it that it has NO servo saver of any kind which I feel is VERY necessary, anyways I broke the slider on the rack from rubbing a PVC pipe.Do you guy's think I should replace with stock rack OR aluminum Rack? what are your experiences?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I've had my truck since February and have yet to break a steering rack. The plastic one works just fine for me.

With most everyone running metal gear servo's in racing conditions a servo saver is really not necessary. With a hard crash it is possible to break racks it is not all that common. The alum rack can bind some and the plastic ones have proven to be the best opition. For what it is worth the AE guys glue there servo savers locked so most of them run with out a servo saver these days as well. There are companies that sell one piece alum belcranks for those to eliminate the servo saver so these days this is becoming the norm and not the exception.

I have driven the 22 for a long time and never broke a rack. I did break on my 22T but deserved it. I tagged the wall pretty good. Second one has held up great. My point is you may break them but should not be a common thing. That futaba servo is a good one and should hold up great.

I have a question that may be obvious but just not finding it in here, what does the 30 degree front pivot do for your handling, quicker turning?slower turning? Thanks in advance.

Thx bnj325. How do you like the gear diffs in the 22t? What is the performance value compared to the ball diff aside from the strength?

i run stock 17.5 motor...im not a very aggressive driver and have built everything to manual specs. I keep snapping the right rear wheel axle pin. I've replaced it twice and was wondering if there is a fix to prevent it from breaking or an after market pin that i could use.

I decided on a gear diff after botching the stock ball diff. Runs great, no complaints here!

What weight oil did you fill it with? I presume by looking @ the rtr instructions that it's sealed?

None really like I said I just change the oil from 2000wt indoor to 5000wt outdoor. I hate rebuilting ball diffs every other month.
