A little more secure than just the flaps.

See for sale thread in sig. \/
I purchased a set of Mitten's side pods and they are great, much easier to velcro the sides of the body to these pods then to have the flaps hanging off the body, nice job Mitten!!!

Only issues so far was tuning diff, like a lot of you.. Changed to tlr carbide diff balls and added a lot more grease and got it close. No breakage yet.. But only ran one practice day and one race day.. But had a lot of newbie crashes..

anyone making alum rear clamp hex's? or even solid drive pins? I sheared 4 drive pins last weekend -- cost me the race-- stock rollpins --ha ha--
and has anyone tried captured rod ends on the steering links? mine pop off if ya look at-em wrong-
They seem to really go on hard (as you HAVE to use pliers to snap them on); but come off in a breeze.

You can make a solid drive pins from music wire or cut the straightest part off a body clip. I would suggest using thicker diameter body clips like Losi's instead of the thinner ones of Associated.

Put new ball cups on or maybe look into the Kyosho ones for the RB5/RT5.

What would be it's benefit over stock? Is it stiffer, shorter, more flexible for more traction.

I do like the color though. I will put that on my list of possibles, if i am ever in the need for a chassis.

Make sure you don't tighten down the front wheels too tight. Make them snug and back them off a little. too tight and they will rub on the ball cups and pop them in hard hits.

What do people have against the velcro straps? I love them. Quick, secure, and nothing to loose.
