Whats up with 3,600 batteries

I was looking around at different battery prices and i found some 3,600s. What is up with that?
What are they for?
electric monster trucks?

They are the next evolution in the battery wars... the capacity is up from 3300 to 3600... this theoretically means more runtime...

Dirtfreak15 10-28-2004 03:26 PM

is it bad for the truck or the electronics to run that long?

I think they're based for those applications that need the extra runtime.....like touring mod.....you could drop a turn and still get the runtime needed.

GP3300's are under-rated...most of the cells are nearly 3600 or more.

The 33's of today are quite possibly some of the greatest batteries made. I remember when 3-grands were the hot ticket....but I don't think the 36's will take off. For now, my money's on the 33's.

3300's are unbelievable! However, I remember when everyone was saying, "3000 nimh? Matched 2400's can't be beat." How many racers do you see running nicads anymore?

RC Driver Magazine used 3600's in their test of the BJ4 in the December issue. Are the 3600's legal for racing?

Last time I saw, they were NOT legal for Roar Racing. But that will most likely change.

3300's weren't legal either but there were so many out there that they let them slide. They are to long.

Team_ass.4ever 10-30-2004 11:39 PM

they were to long now they are the right length that is the 95% of the reason they went to the new "shortie" cells so that they were within the rules
