Default XXX-NT RTR II-good buy?

hey guys. i was looking at getting a 1/10 gt truck. so i looked at the three major companies, associated, losi, and hpi. well right off the bat, the hpi rush evo looks like a bashing truck, not serious enough. the associated is an old chassis design, yet it still works. the losi looks more organized and better layed out. so i chose to get a losi. well, i see that they have an xxx-nt rtr II coming out around x-mas, which is around the time i was going to get it. but one thing is bothering me. if i decide to get the current rtr, what will i be missing out on? does the rtr II have better features?

Yes mmore than likely. A newer version of anything is always going to have something better on it. Check out www.teamlosi.com and you can check out the new verse the old.

The biggest news is that the new truck has a different engine with a drill-starter instead of a pull-starter (the engine is rear-exhaust as well). The 2nd generation Sport NT also has the Fury body and new chrome dish wheels..very nice :-).

As far as I know, the hubs are the same as the original NT Sport and XXX-NT.

The engine definitely has some power for a Ready-To-Run engine. There was nothing at Hemet that Mr. Drake wasn't able to clear with the NT Sport!

I haven't heard anything bad about the Dynamite carb..and from my limited experience with them, I found the Dynamite to be very O.S.-like.

The chassis in the AD2 is a milled-out, hard anodized chassis.

The NT-Sport chassis is the same thick aluminum chassis from the original XXX-NT, with a different finish.

the old xxxnt RTR was a very good value.. I don't know how the new one would be worse.. I didn't like the mach 15 at all though.. I've worked on a lot with seat problems in the carb

why do companies put a .15 in their trucks for the rtr version, but racers end up taking them out and putting a .12 in it. arent the .12's smaller?
