Default 1700kv on 4s mbx6 t

Guys, is it enough to run with nitro? Or do I need 5s lipo?

It's got enough torque but lack top speed. I think I am using 16t and stock spur.

Any advice welcome

What's the track size? I've seen guy at Revelations (Large outdoor) run 1700kv on 4S and do fine.

That's big. I would gear up for more top end, or run a 1900kv. 1700kv on 5S might be okay, but it's going to scream. Might be too much.

I am running the exact setup you are asking about. With 3.3 ratio diffs, I'm typically geared 17/46 but have gone up to an 18 on occasion. I only throw my 1900 in if the track is large AND is high traction. As long as you are under 160 after running 10-15 minutes gear up.

I see, I might try Robinson 19t then as I feel I got a lot of bottom end but no top end. What batteries u using?
