Default HPI EVO 2 Rush - Raceable?

Looking into getting into nitro truck racing and I am wondering if the HPI EVO 2 Rush is a competitive truck or whether I am just in for a bad time with a truck like this. I realise that the Losi and the Asso trucks are the most commonly raced trucks, but I am wondering if the HPI just totally sucks in the handling department, is weak, or whether it is a pretty good truck. I would rate my driving skills as "suckful" when it comes to offroad.

Any opinions?
