there basically the same car, the 44.1 just has a few new parts on it to make it better

so to answer your question, yes it is.... but the 44 can be updated

for the most part they're identical. the B44.1 has the servo moved slightly closer to the centerline, no holes in the chassis for motor or NiMH cells, a cam motor mount, .5mm thicker towers and top decks, and shocks that are easier to build.

IMO it's not worth the extra money unless you're going to be a super serious racer.

i had a b44 and i hated how it handled, i bought a kyosho lazer zx-5 and that handled great. but the diffs keep goin bad. i have all associated trucks and 1 kyosho. its a debate on weither i go with kyosho all the way or associated all the way. thats why i was curious to see if the b44.1 handled better than the original.

Can lipos be used on the B44, or only on the B44.1 chassis?

Their differences are mainly those mentioned above. To upgrade a new B44 to B44.1 specs would cost more than simply buying the kit. For the record: I love the B44.1 cam motor mount, and wish they had that on other cars.

As for handling, there's an FT ballast weight that might help with that, but I wouldn't buy an entire car just to see.

I think its better to pay the extra cost to the .1... Which pinion spur gear would you recommend to use with the Tekin 6.5 pro and lipos? Track is kinda like a medium size track

What would be the best motor to beggin with for my b44.1? I am looking at the tekin rs pro esc, savox servo but don't know if I should stay with tekin for the motor or go with a reedy sonic or something else, thanks

The best motor I have ever ran is my current Sonic motor. I race with some fast mofo's. I'm 6 seconds off of there 7.5 and 6.5 motors with a 10.5 sonic. Honest it runs smooth and cool, I love it. Getting ready to order an 8.5.

Get the B44.1 over the B44. It has all the goodies in the kit its a flat out ready to race set up.
