Yeah the EP class exploded in CO this year. We often have B-Mains in EP buggy and in club racing we often have an EP Truggy class. I have seen EP Truggies do 30 to 45-min mains all year with obvious battery swaps.

i know this is going to be a very open ended question but some general idea would be helpful.

im going to start racing my Losi soon, ive just purcahsed some ROAR approved lipo's, got a lipo charging bag on order and 2.4 ready.

what im after is a list of 'essential' spares. because i havent had the Losi for long I dont have a single spare for it.

I always carry extra A-arms and hinge pins. Servo saver and of course the bearings. Nice to have extra shock shafts on hand too! Other than that have an extra wing and mount.

If you plan to race a 1350Kv motor is where you need to start on 6S.

the only 1350 i see is a tekin rx8. is that a good choice and will it work with the mmp speed control?

Everyone mentioned some good items to keep as spares in the pit box but no one mentioned CVD's which can be just as important sometimes.
I keep almost a whole car worth of spares for my buggy including motor/esc/servo/rx minus a chassis.
That is only me but I'm serious about my sig and it is the most rarest thing for me is for a race day to end prematurely.

I am not one to talk or recommend what to do without owning it or have done it, with that being said I have bashed/raced a CC 2200kv on 6s, 5s, 4s with gearing changes only in MT.
I would gear really low if that''s all you got is 6s but that motor's sweetspot is 4s for racing but I've done it on 6s too and have hit the podium with it on 6s.

Well we all need to run what we have but a 2250Kv is a lot of motor on 4S let alone 6S. You have a land missle! The Tekin will work with the MMP just fine. You might find that a MMM is a little more suitable in the future. Good luck and have fun!

I would not recommend an MMP in anything over 8.5 lbs as the weight will increase the amp draw which will eventually cause failure to the MMP.
I have used both the RX8 and MMM in heavier rigs successfully.
I do however always run 2x1000uf Rubycon caps on either esc which seems to help me from avoiding probs that others experience when running HV (6s).

Yes. I personally would recommend the extra caps when running HV but that is just me.
