RC10B4/T4 Forum
So who can tell me the precise difference between the B4 and it's successors? I've got what I think is a FTB4, but it's hard to tell. I've got the older threaded body shocks and the car came with the short chassis, but so did several versions of the 4.1. It has the blue alloy from suspension pin brace, too. I suspect the car was just upgraded a little over time.
At this point, my best chance in identifying which version it is would be to tear it apart and measure all the bearings, as several of them changed from B4 to B4.1
Any thoughts?

The biggest change in any of the plastic parts was the +8 chassis and the rear shock tower which removed the outer shock lonhyn and added the inner shock mount we were drilling for years. The rest was just a softer plastic in the .1 and .2

Stock up on spares!
Same goes for on-road. We run both. My driving skills don't yet justify shelling out full retail most of the time.

looking for a little info and im not finding what I need in a search so here goes. is it possible to upgrade the ball cups to the b5/b5m ball cup on my sons b4.1 and t4?
I've heard that you can. I'd be really interested to upgrade mine. Let me know if you end up doing it or finding out more. I'd like to know what part numbers are required.

Ball cup upgrade?
Be sure the servo saver is adusted correctly OR
Get these:http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXFPW8&P=ML
WAY stronger than the 4/40 ball ends.
They will work on the steering arms and the rear camber links.
Then,something else will snap off.
Just use a 4/40 bolt with those.
I have broken a few.Maybe 4 in 6 years.They just wear out.
I assume it's breaking ball cups/ball ends.

Hi
I love my b4s, I have 2 with electrics and one almost roller. I won't be upgrading them from bashing for a while to come (unless the right deal comes along).
They are all rc10b4.0 buggies
I am running a couple of 6000mah Intellect (ip) 2s lipos in one of them. The problem I see is the battery thickness means that when I use them with the factory team thumbscrews, I can't tighten the thumbscrews down. They are loose and so far I've lost 2 (of 4 I think). What would be the way to get them to tighten at a larger height, could I just undo the screw cups they tighten into a bit?
I see quite a few posts about people even running 3s in theirs, if you managed to fix a tall battery in your B4 and are not loosing thumbscrews "bashing" as I am, I would love to know a fix. I have velcro and a dremel handy
Thanks Everyone

I tried the thumbscrews. No good.
Just use a couple of long 4/40 bolts.
Cut the heads off of 2 bolts and thread those into the chassis.
I went back to the stock set up on one of my T-4's.
I used a super long body clip-very secure.

Bought some 4/40 (thanks for the measure!) lock nuts from ebay, 10 for like £1.40
All fixtures fixed when it comes to the tall battery :xDpP

convert T4 ball diff to gear diff
Hi everyone - I tried searching this thread for information on converting T4 from ball diff to gear diff. Mostly what i found is going from gear to ball.
I have the gear diff but not sure exactly which parts need to be changed for it to fit into a T4.0 gear box. Any help would be great.
Thanks!
