Of course if you already run B44 style rear hubs you do not need the last two items.

what gearing do you recommend to start with on a b4 on a 9.5 motor on a medium sized track?

ok I have a question for anyone who can help. I bought a b4.1 rtr about 3 mos ago and am considering switching from the gear diff that came with the buggy to a ball diff, I believe the rtr 3300 kv is equivalent to 13.5 brushless. I was wondering what I would gain by switching? I only know gear diffs because I have come from running rtr short course. Honestly I am a little nervous in the service about the switch how easy is it to build/maintain a ball diff? The buggy seems a little ass happy!

You can try , but be aware ...
The tab off-set for the Gt-2 hub is forward compared to the B-4 hub ..
means the ti-rod will be rubbing the shock & spring s really bad, no diss intended but I don't think it will even work ...

Ae ball diff's are fairly easy to assemble & maintain even compared to gear versions..
The extra traction and performance you gain using a ball diff is well worth the time and investment for racing.
at the same time
If you only bash around and do not race, a gear diff will do just fine and will also deliver good performance.....
What are the rear hubs that come with the b4? Are they zero degree? Does the toe-in come from the way the arms are mounted? Somewhat new to the b4. Last associated buggy I had was a aluminum tub team car! All I did with the b4 was put on the lightweight setup with 25 degree blocks and leave the rear hubs alone. It handles like a dream, but I'm curious what toe-in I've actually got.

Yep Raz, toe is built into the arm mounts. The B4 comes with 0 degree rear hubs. Overall rear toe-in should be 3 degrees...

Ready to get back into the sport / hobby...however with the new releases of 4.1 in both B and T, does buying a Kit FT B4 make sense right now?
Or should I wait till the new kits come with all the latest and greatest stuff?

The 4.1 B/T is a great way to get into it again at minimal cost. Unless you have a good amount of startup hardware, or would rather have a much better radio to start with, then getting a 4.1 is a no brainer.
I would suggest going ahead and making the leap into LiPo and buying a good LiPo charger to start with. You can replace the speedo and motor whenever you feel youre ready, and already have the battery and charger issue taken care of.

I see what you are talking about. I think if you mount the turn buckle on the opposite side of the ear, it may not rub. Hmmm.
