eh, no need for the tekins in my opinion. just crank the timing on your lrp, gear it correctly, and drive it right.

tekins are way better for using the boost way more adjustable and cheaper and you dont have to worry about it randomly catching on fire like lrp speed controls do! lol

ha, yeah because a lrp sxx costs may more than a rs pro. and yup, we all know how often you see an lrp blow up, or,"catch fire!"
novak on the other hand, maybe.
tekins are more adjustable but who says they are faster? what big pros are using them? they are more of a dominant speedo to spec classes, where a speed passion, or an lrp can keep up to.

Rhetorical question? Pros don't run stock/spec classes.

We're lucky at Trackside, we have a strong modified turnout so speed controls have little to nothing to do with competitiveness. It'll start chaffing the SCT guys soon enough.

+1
The better question is what pros don't run it in spec carpet classes.

I have a feeling I'm going to be tech'd a lot this summer with my sc10 and RSpro.

what im saying is, i dont think a tekin rs pro vs a sxx stock spec or sxx will be much of a difference. just crank the timing up on the sxx and gear it right and you have yourself something to compete with a tekin. i think tekins are very overrated.

Default Diff weights

I saw some discussion earlier, but never saw a definitive answer here, so here it is.

Concerning the fallacy that a ball diff is lighter and a gear diff is heavy and bulky, consider this--both Associated trannies, without motor plates and slipper assemblies weigh exactly 74 grams.

Head to head, weight is identical and not a distinguishing factor in racing use.

moving the axle up = more camber gain , less but smoother steering

moving the axle down = less camber gain , more steering and more responsive steering

black ball is shorter than standard standard stud, removes bump steer when mounted on Ackerman

mounting ball stud forward on Ackerman = less steering
moving stud back = more steering...
