You realize it's not a creation right? It's simple updates with small improvements. Hence the 4.1 and not a 5.0. Why put out a new car when it's still dominating. They are simply updating things to meet the brushless and lightweight requirements.
Associated is a company that is out to make money, if the SC18 will sell then why the F not? No one said you have to buy it.

Well if you're looking for innovation, there is Xfactory, Schumacher and Durango working hard to bring out new designs. Maybe that will push them to work a bit harder... Then again, as long as the winning racers are using their products, and winning with them, there isn't much pressure to innovate...

Until people really stop buying them they may not change. They are still a great seller. Some folks like the idea of a car still being real compatative without having to buy new stuff all the time.

AE isn't lazy. They've just spent their resources developing 1/8th offroad, Stadium trucks and RTR monster trucks over the years because that's where the new money was (and a 4x4 1/10th where the money isn't?
). They enjoy a relative lock on 2wd offroad and as was said in numerous posts, when it's not broke (it wins, it sells), you don't fix it.

u want new u want new, so many of u guys got miffed last yr when u were runnin touring car and ur xray wasnt new for 10mths lol

xray just makes little adjustments, some good and some bad. they are just high in their research and testing on their cars. some stuff is more user friendly, smoother ect. ae's stuff may not be the longest lasting, or the smoothest, but it sure is the fastest.

+1 When I ran on-road touring I ran the X-Ray stuff for a long while. Great quality and fit & finish, but a bit pricey. And when they are releasing a new car every 10 months or sometimes sooner, that starts to add up.

whats a good starting setup for the t4 on an indoor clay track? the track im racing at is fairly tight and the tires of choice are usually m3 or pink slicks. here's the track:

comeseethis.com says a 26 is spot on, 27 is better IMO thats what i was told to run by factory AE... motor hardly gets hot after a 8 min main. its a x12 9.5 BTW

the x12 motors are known to have very different gearing than some other motors out there. and they get hot unless geared correctly.

I know my X-11, it always runs cool & fast...
