I am told the 1/2* hubs are only wanted on low bite surfaces and that they make the car sketchy off power on higher grip surfaces. I fun the light setup on what I'd call a med/high grip surface (much more than a 10.5 get's a little touchy) and don't use the 1/2* hubs and the setup works very well for me and others at this track.

^^ Good to hear. Did you have a chance to try them side to side? I'm just going on hearsay, I never had the .5's to try.

does anyone find that the racers edge hubs hole diameter is way too small, and needs reaming for the hinge pin to go through easily?

and is there another easy way to remove broken ball studs in the RE hubs?

I have tried to drill the broken stud to use an ezy out, but the material is just too hard. Cannot get a grip onto the broken stud, as its broken too far down, and cannot pull it through the other side!

Cut a slot in the bottom of the ball stud before you put it in the hub. After it breaks, you can screw it out from the bottom with a flat-head screwdriver.

Trcr has a med high grip surface and we have all tried the .5 only to go back to the standard hub ...

Tip :
If you have not use losi #55 piston with 35w ft 30w r ?

You really should take the time and find out for yourself...

someone posted a link on here of a conversion they made. i would, im just concerned about the play they will have in them, like the rears do, and i will have to replace the qc hubs more often too.

If I had the RPM hopup parts I think it'll make a much better basher and racer then the E firestorm if i put RPM parts on the t4. What do you think? It's all part support that's why. If not then I'll stay with my e firestorm and buy parts and just have to wait for them is something breaks. The T4 seems to have easy cheap hopup parts and they are everywhere. I just want to bash, and maybe have he racing performance too.

(I have this post my other thread but thought i'd get better luck here)

I race at the same track as trevor and I have tried the hubs side by side. It is very hard to drive without them the rear end is to loose with the setup without the hubs on our track
