Default 5000 Lipo fit into B4?

Doug and RCman - thanks for the input. I may try to remove some material from the underside of the box lip. I was also wondering if it may be possible to thin out the bottom of the battery case. I have access to a machine shop and you could potentially do a skim cut of a small amount (.020", .040", etc.) on the bottom of the battery case - that would also lower the whole battery, which would seem to be a good thing. Of course, that's assuming the case has some thickness to it - that I don't know yet. Anyway, thanks again.

It does seem like the battery is usually run in the front position (from most setup sheets, etc.) but I still think it could be nice to shift the battery to the rear - seems like that could help out in situations where you have plenty of steering but want some more rear end traction.

After driving mine quiet a bit today, I think it's become my favorite RC vehicle. It's just so quiet and smooth. The more I drive it the more I like it.

so i made it out to the track for some running today t4 was strapped after moving the shock to the center location and removing all but one washer on the inner ballstud on the front upper link. did the same 2 changes on the b4, but the on and off power steering i am looking for is still not there?? should i try to move the lipo to the fwd position, or will i in turn lose to much rear traction??

Well igot around to inspecting my shocks to find out why they keep blowing the clips and leaking all the oil out. What i have found is the clips fit very loose in the shock body they will almost fall out.Now i will order new clips to see if the two sets i have are bad.I fear it is the bodies that are bad we shall see.At least i know what the problem is now and nothing i did wrong lol.

It's a known prob by AE that they had a bad run of shock bodies also. Before u spend the money I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to contact AE first. Will probably replace them for free. May even get the newer run of them..

I called ae and they acted as if i am the only person on the planet to ever have such a problem lol. They did say send them in with recept wich i do not have.Does any one know where is a good place to purchase the shock bodies? All i can do is hope the new ones i buy are not defective like mine. There must be other new kits out there with bad shocks. It is impossible that i have the only four bad ae shock bodies in the world.I regret buying this car now. You would think that this kit has been out how long and shurly the bugs worked out by now.

Buy new shocks, then send back your old ones with the new receipt. It will still cost you, but at least you'll have two pairs of (hopefully) good shock bodies.
