Default Thanks!

Thank you for the clarification. I was just wondering it it would be read if the loop is burried slightly in the ground while being situated inside the tub.

Thanks again! Will do the suggestion.

Happy Racing!

It will read it fine.

Instead of weight on the receiver side, my RX sits where normally the speedo goes, much better left/right balance.

as far as rebuilding the shocks, i rebuild mine when i see a more than normal build up of oil at the bottom of the shock. a lite coat of oil is ok, but when lots of dirt and oil is at the end of the shock, ill replace all components in the shock.

what springs are you running in the front? i have golds and the work great for me.

im running the blue springs in the front. When you replace the orange o-ring in the shock how do you snap them out?

take the shock tool and you shock with the shock shaft out from the shock. turn the shock upside down to see the hole where the shaft comes out of. then take your shock tool and with the tip of it feel the o rings in the shock. when you get to the last o ring push hard to snap the white retaining ring out of the shock. and hey presto, it comes out!

as far as the nose of the truck diving in a jump, stay on that gas boy!

I run 78/28-29 on a small to medium track with a novak 17.5. I would start there and check temps after 5-6 mins.

Anybody know how to get the Black Rear Springs to stop bending sideways and rubbing the shock bodies? When you compress the srings they bend sideways and catch the bodies worse then the greens.

Two ways

#1
use a belt sander and sand he top and bottom of the spring flush

#2 push a piece of silicon wire insulation over the spring where it rubs the shock body....

78/28 with a Fantom 17.5, seems to have plenty of torque and top end.

Check your spring cups are up the right way.

Ive got a Orion Vortex 17.5 and LRP Comp ESC in my B4 and i have been running a 72 Spur with a range of pinions right up to 31 without any heat problems (ive raced at least 20 times over a 5min period with similar ratios) so you can definitely go higher on the gearing, whether that will suit your track is obviously dependent on a lot of other factors and i have actually dropped back to 72/27 which suits where i race better, anyway just my two cents and give it a try, always checking temps of course as far as i can see the brushless motors need to be geared up pretty hard to get the most out of them.
