i have the VXL in my slash...and it's my basher till the e-maxx comes

but...i was thinking something on a 2s and i have $50 in this truck (rtr...even had extra parts) so i don't wanna really spend too terrible much.

i'm not racing, but i will be running it on the track for fun (1/8 track with pretty big jumps)

what about one of the motors off hobbycity? i don't know about motor sizing...but the price is right, and i wanna order some lipo's from them. any thoughts??

That is cheap for an ESC/motor combo. Just because you got the truck at a steal doesn't mean you should cheap out on everything else.


If you want cheep look around in the for sale threads and you might find what you are looking for. I am sure there is someone who will just want to get rid of some old stuff for new stuff.

Really I think it is better to get better things in the first place, then it is to get a cheap set-up that smokes after a few mins of running (if it doesn't then you might still think the truck isn't any good, but really all it is, is that your electrionics are hurrting the perfomance).

lol....if i KNEW what to get...or could tell what the abbreviations ment, i'd cruise over ot hte classifieds and look for a used setup.

i just don't know what KV i need, or esc. i only know about crawling.


and the speed passion, that's inherently just an ezrun system, no? any good?

Just a comment but you usually cant put "good" and "cheap" in the same sentence.

Look for a Novak GTB or Havoc. Or an LRP sphere or TC or SPX for speedo.

Novak motors are pretty good, and durable.

Like someone said earlier, it isnt cheap if it burns up quick. I would go with a novak 13.5 or 10.5. Plenty to play around with. Just dont go "cheap". Wait till you have the money to get a "good" system.

i'm aware of the old addage, but it's not necessarily an applicable thing to say these days.

i just have $125 laying around to spend on this particular purchase. i have to buy aluminum wheels and a new chassis, again, for my crawler...so that's all i have alloted to spend right now on the T4.

The speed passion stuff i showed you is ok, as i hear from others, but just save up and get something good like from the GTB to the Sphere. You can find used stuff here for cheap, i got a gtb and 5.5 on here for 120$. Thats a deal. Dont cheap out when you get a vehicle like the t4.
