The changes that I made to my taste are 4th hole in rear shock tower (have to drill extra hole on inside), 35 wt. oil in the rear, and blue springs up front. Also make sure you add weight to your car if you are running lipos. Hope this helps------------Doug

I actually found that sheet a few minutes ago--Thanks!. Do I really need to add weight? Or is that just so this setup is valid?? I thought I saw some lite setups floating around . . .

I guess it depends on whether you race mod or stock/19t. It helps stabilize the car a lot, especially in mod racing. It might be just something you have to experiment with. I've tried some "lighter" setups, but I wasn't impressed by them.

I hear you--the car does seem like it could use a little extra weight. I was a noob when I first got the T4 and was breaking all the FT stuff so I went aluminum on most everything so I am sure that added some weight! I will try the recommended FT setup first and then experiment with the Cavalieri from 2007 Trackside.

I've been looking for a light wieght set-up for a couple weeks and came up with a starting point. I would share it but I think it's a big pile of crap. I made a bunch of changes and it's getting better but I still have a long way to go. I'll be doing some more testing in the next couple weeks and will post what I know. If anyone has any suggestions that are not on any of the set-up sheets that are on AE or rc10b4's websites let me know. Making good progress but still needs work.

its tight, you will just have to be creative with where you mount it. I also have the havac and B4 and am currently debating whether to remount it or cut the body? Any input?

I am not familliar with the havoc but I run a GTB with the fan on. I mounted it on the battery strap and it is fine. Doesn't seem to have any ballance issues and fits good.

Seems like a good idea, plenty of room up there, but do you have any issues with heat?
By heat I mean, won't the battery heating up or the ESC heating up effect performance?

Hello, my B4 is finally going to be operational in the next few day, I have been gathering all the components since last fall. I am looking at the SC10 gear diff, sounds great to me, but I would like the opinion of someone who has run it. What does it take to put in in a B4?

From what I remember, you'll need:
Transmission Case for Gear Diff, PN 9826, $5.69
Complete Gear Differential SC10, PN 9827, $26.99
and maybe
Rear Motor Guard SC10, PN 9819, $5.69

Could be more parts. The prices are from Tower Hobbies, you may be able to find them cheaper elsewhere.

I'm thinking about trying the 4th hole in the rear tower as someone else said on here. It just seems like the truck is too "floaty" with it that light.

I gotta admit I am not the best driver around. So I dont think I would notice small differences. I run a 6.5 in the B4 and neither the battery or speedy get hot, they dont get past mildly warm.
There are threads around that talk about lipo battery performance being better if it is warm. About 100f is supposed to be best. However, I wont be bothering to warm mine before a race. I do it more for the enjoyment of competing than winning. Lucky for me as I dont win often.
