thought about it some more and got up and looked at the differences between the standard 2wd b4 front wheels compared to the b44 front wheels and they seem to be just as wide but the off-set is alot different. So unless the losi spindle mod makes your front end wider then you could run the 4wd rulux front wheels. If not then you cant run the rulux wheel and that would suck and make it not worth it unless you dont care and buy all new regular dish wheels.
Thanks heaps for your help mate...it'd good to see this forum really is busy with helpers and knowledge in the B4...I've just put my Mamba Max from my B44 into the B4. It's a 6900Kv ( around a 6 turn ). I'm running a 16t/84t setup for starters and the temps are around 120F. Thats the coldest I've seen the Mamba at ever. In the B44 it's closer to 160-170 cuz of the inclosed body shell and the extra weight... Any ideas on a better gear ratio? What drive ratio is best for these B4's?
Sweet...... I am!

Not sure what FDR to run with that set-up, but you should be safe going up 1-2 teeth depending on the amount of time you run your car.

Two words for you, less motor! Try the 4400kv motor, you'll get on much better.

Maybe swap the Novak SS5800 from the T4. The T4 will handle that kind of power better and be more drivable.

yeah. The thing is the Novak doesn't have lipo cut-off. Now i know in a 6 min race the mamba is sucking 2300 milliamps for a 6 min race, so with a 4800 pack I should be right for 10 mins of stuffing around, but I really don't want to risk it. These saddle packs are like gold in Australia. A Trackpower pack will set up back almost $200 including shipping because of the current economy.

^^ I hear ya. It's even worse in NZ! As my dear partner keeps reminding me!

You could get a cut-off switch for it. You can just plug and un-plug it as necessary.

That isn't a bad deal at all, and is a good car. Although it does need a little cleaning yet.

Also you will need a Rx for it, and it might be a good idea to put a stock motor in it if you are new to racing (I am sure one of the locals over there will help you out with that). Another thing you might want to look into later is a set of rear tires that they run there, although the hole shots should work for now.

with a t4 you should be able to get away with the 78 spur, and not need to modify.

31/69 is a good start point pending on your track size

Thanks!

I don't know many people that race on carpet, but I would think that if you were to use a set-up for use on indoor clay as that should get you in the ball park, but you might still need to fine tune yet (the Cav trackside set-up would be a good place to start). Another option is that you can ask the fast guys what they are running and then you can set your car up like theirs.

Will do...I have the Cav Trackside setup on my truck already and I like the way it handles but I would like a little more off power steering...any suggestions?

Will a stock Associated RC10B4 be able to handle a Team Orion Vortex 3.0T brushless combo without it going kaboom?

Thanks.
