i just purchased a FT B4 and i installed the xcelorin 13.5 brushless system with a max amps 5000 mah 7.4 lipo pack. i ran it with the stock spur and a 21 tooth spur this past weekend, which from what i understand was a misstake.
by reading back on hear i see i should probably be running a 29T pinion with the 78T spur. correct?
i also can't get the ride height up in the rear with the stock black springs with the collars threaded as far as they can go. i will be purchasing the green and silver springs soon. will these eliminate the ride height issues?
do i need to use the 1.5oz of weights in the rear with this set up?
i am also having a problem with the esc, which has the fan installed on top of it, hitting the stock body. has anyone had this issue with this esc? if so, what bodies are you using, or what are you doing to solve it?
thanks in advance!!

Big jumps or small jumps ?

Anybody got a starting gear ratio for a T4 with a Novak 21.5 normal sized clay track?

A 21.5. That should be dead slow. My guess is you couldnt fit enough gear on it to get any speed. Probably need to use a standard spur around a 60 tooth to the biggest pinion you could fit on it.

21.5 slower than a 13.5? Obviously the jokes on me I thought it would be faster...I am new to the brushless thing...I guess I made a mistake.
Seems pretty fast in the yard (stock gearing set up) - so big pinion stock spur.
Thanks

A 21.5 is waaaay slower than a 13.5. With the stock spur gear you cant properly a 13.5/17.5 and for sure cant gear a 21.5. AE makes a 78 spur, that is the smallest one made to directly fit a t4/b4 and even that with the biggest pinion possible a 21.5 will still be way under geared. You would need a gear adapter to run a standard spur gear. Then you need a really small one, about a 60 with the biggest pinion possible.
