the Fan will hit the body...the heatsink only...you should be fine. I run mine without a heatsink and it comes off the track at 90*...so i'm not worried.

I use the 6.5 inch B44 V-wing. Looks sweet with the JC body & it handles great.

I had to go through 4 different shock caps to find ones the would thread. The springs are bent and rub the shock bodies. The motor cover mounting holes are visibly off. The hinge pins were so tight I had to actually hit them in place.

Basically, i'm shocked that AE would allow a car this poor to go out and then put their name on it...not only that but if I'm going to spend the extra dough to get a "FACTORY" kit....it better go together like a "FACTORY" car!

now...obviously in time, all this stuff will break in and loosen up...but I cannot believe that AE's kits are this poor. I haven't even driven this truck yet and I'm already afraid that the shock are going to blow out on me.

some of you may say "go losi then"...I dont want a losi, their new stuff is just as bad, but why can't we get a kit that goes together without hand-fitting?

ok i'm done
I feel your pain Chris, most of my AE kits have had issues. Bad shocks, missing screws, incorrect hingpins, cracked exhaust, ect. Now if they didnt drive so well I would stop buying them.

My B44 was actually my first AE in a while then went together without a hitch.

I agree, and i plan on contacting AE about this situation. I just bought and built a FT B4 and the build was horrible. This kit was by far the worst kit i've ever built. Shock caps were a pain to put on, the hinge pins were so tight that the suspension bound up. Definately NOT the same quality that my T4 was when i built it a few years ago BEFORE Thunder Tiger bought AE. Obviously AE's quality went out the window when Thunder Tiger took over.

Do the FT kits come with the battery thumb screws and the aluminum servo mounts?

i just bought 3 new black box kits including the B44 and all have went together great. more than likely it's not the hinge pins but the flashing on the inners of the arm that touches the pivot blocks
