Ok so I was looking at ryan cavs set up for srs and he runs 0 degrees of toe. Now I am looking at a set of 0 degree trinity rear hubs and on those when its refering to 0 degrees its talking about toe right?
Also I just bought a rpm toe gauge and is there a tool out there that will actually measure toe cause i cant figure it out by useing the rpm gauge with out a picture of someone doing it?

Hope this clears up any confusion.

Well guys your pinions are way off what I run. I'm not saying any of you are wrong. I must run at smaller tracks. I've only run at three places in the 2.5 years I have been r/c'ing. I run a 19 tooth on the T4 and a 24 on the B4, with brushed motors too.

Team associateds Ryan uses 0 degrees of the srs track and thats where Ill be racing. I think he uses trinitys hubs correct me if I am wrong. But are the hubs I am talking about 0 degree toe? and he uses them right?

lol i c, it's kinda funny how it could take a paragraph to explain something that would take a wag of a finger in person... I know exactly what ur talking about... I can remove that piece with just two screws and the 2degree anti squat is under it... it is what I shoegood my weights to lol... I'm gonna try that out sometime after I get a firm grip on my new buggy's characteristics, my buggies new name is, "Racers Delight." Went to the track today to get in a solid hour and a half of practice. Gonna race tomorrow night and probably go to the track and set up at noon.
I was actually talking about shaving off the Rear Arm on the Hub side or you could shave down the hub itself.. just enough off to get (3) .030 washers w/ some free play behind the hub..instead of the stock 2...making the wheeebase shorter by moving the hub. I never thought about the chassis side of the arm but would be similar... I wounder if the chassis side would be any different than the hub side? I duno.. I have not done either mod, I'm just running short wb, 2 washers behind the hub.

all the above pinion comments are for brushless not brushed , ray

Yes to d4man. Right now I have my 24/81 on the T4. I don't have a B4 unfortunately. I'd like to get one some day. But when I started using the 13.5ss pro I just kept gearing up and the truck kept getting better. The main reason I went away from the 87 spur? I couldn't get the motor back far enough to put a 26-27 pinion on. So I put an 84 spur on and eventually settled at a 24/81. And many of the others have ended up at the same combo.
With the brushed motors I was between 18-21 with the stock 87 spur. The 21was too high most of the time though. It's completely different with the brushless and I too was concerned when I started getting this high. But all the temps were ok and the performance is great. So that's where I'm at. If you get a brushless you will probably end up around there too.
Our track is somewhat small. 75 ft. X65 ft. I think.

I went from 23 to a 24 with the 78 spur this weekend....I'm thinking of going up another tooth for this week's race and see how that feels...my 13.5ss has plenty of low end grunt to clear anything at my track so....may as well gear up as far as I can...
A bigger pinion will only smooth out the low end of the car...might even go up 2 teeth now that I think about it...
I know when I was running Kyosho, a lot of guys were running 10.5's and gearing 28/76! way tall!

When we run mod truck I use the Novak 7.5ss. I use a 20p with that and it feels to have a touch too much bottom end. I havent' changed gearing much cause I'm still trying to reign the motor in. LOL. It's fast. But I'm now going to step up a tooth and see where that gets me. Just testing. LOL.
