A question for someone who might be able to answer it:

I have a brand new T4 FT ( I already own a B4 FT so I have experence with the AE 2wds) but I have a strange problem. It seems that one of the CVDs dose not spin when the arm is below a certain point. How can this be fixed?

Yeah, that qualifies as "strange"

Check to make sure one of the pins isn't about to fall out, or that the Loctite you put on the setscrew didn't glue something together it shouldn't have.

yep my t4 does that with full travel in the rear, what i did is i took a dremel to the arm to make both sides have clearance...most still add a small limiter in the rear shocks, which is usually enough to correct this.

I saw some setups that have SIX limiters in the shocks. Why so many? This was for offroad by the way. I would think oval or carpet racing would use six limiters. I can't remember where I saw that at.

So what changes should I expect by tuning with the limiters? Will this keep the truck from jumping too high? Will it help the truck stay planted when cornering by reducing chassis roll? I'm just wondering what to expect if I mess with them. Thanx

when they say "SIX" the mean six of the 1/32 downstops (ae #6466) which 6 is used in the front, usually 2-3 in the rear i believe

Yep those limiters. What does using so many do for the truck? I only have 3 front and none in the rear. Set up like that from the build.

i noticed with the 6 in the front it helps to keep the truck from "nosing" off jumps. in the rear i only run 2.

First thing I did to my T3, T4, and GT2 was leave the limiters out, been that way ever since. I like my trucks to move around

the limiters limit chassis pitch under braking and acceleration. more limiters in the front means that under acceleration the front of the chassis will not raise up as high and you will generally have more on power steering. more limiters in the rear means that under braking the rear of the chassis will not raise up as high and the back end won't want to come around as much under braking. hope that helps!
