MIP CVD question for you guys. I'm building a special project and I need a couple CVD dog bones 2.5" in length. Anything available? What kit uses a bone closest to that?

Thanks in advance,

Ron

finally done!

my slash with the traxxas LCG kit installed.
-original trx servo
-original trx receiver + waterproof box
-hobbywing ezrun 60A esc
-tacon 10t 3500kv motor
-rpm gearbox housing
-hot racing diff with 20k oil

please excuse my amateurish/ugly wiring. I am running 23/90 gearing. I am going to be running some mod 2wd sct class racing with this. hopefully get some educational racing experience under my belt and some decent results before springing for a higher end motor/esc combo (8.5t or 10.5t sensored motor)

i did notice some cogging with the tacon motor.

That LCG chassis looks good. Since I'm low on money I'll take my time on rebuild. I did notice my sealed differential mod on the stock differential held up real well from a summers worth of weekend bashing. I'm just going to put it back in the way it is. And if I go even slower I might just order another Hot Tranny case since it looks ay cool. I never had a problem with motor heat all summer. It just that when things broke I had to get another chassis. The stock chassis cost me $5.99 on eBay so I guess that isn't too bad.

What else do I need to complete this? Do I need the rustler bumper and body posts for this 2wd?

I've asked at another forum but there's very little traffic over there. hopefully I can get answers because my web search isn't going so well.

THanks in advance.
I don't know too much about conversions but it seems to me that tires are the most important part of the conversion. I mean they have paddle tires for people who like to run at the beach, crawler tires for people who like to climb rocks and such, road tires for carpet tracks, and a lot of different tires for short course use. I hope this helps.

Default MIP Speed Tips

I was in the market for some hex tips for my new Ryobi driver; sought out MIP specifically since I've had great luck with their drivers since the late 80's.

they should arrive soon. I already know they're worth the money.

Thanks MIP for making the best stuff out there.

Question on the bypass pistions ... As the piston number goes up numerically , does the dampening go up as well ? Do the #7 pistons dampen more than the #5 ? #5 more then #4 etc ...

thanks

Post Bypass valving?

On the bypass system 12mm #7 piston on an SCTE at what thickness would you say would the rebound be equal to a standard piston 50/50 ratio? .020?

Thanks

A disc above and below the piston will do it . Can be most any thickness.

If I'm not mistaking, they are not designed to be 50/50 with disc's on top. You can try the thickest ones and see what it gives you?

I think doing that would not allow the bypass to do its job!
If you insist on doing that then you might want to go back to stock pistons.
