break = broken
brake = slowing down

You can set the ESC for different motor types, forward only, forward with reverse, and forward with delayed reverse.... open your manual and all the steps should be listed right there. If you don't have it anymore, go to tekin's website and all the info on how to program it is right there.

If you have a hotwire, you can do this through the pc interface with ease.

Your manual:
http://www.teamtekin.com/manuals/RSManual.pdf

2nd page of directions shows adjustment modes.

Press and release the MODE button six times or press it so it moves to the sixth led. You can watch them cycle as if you don't press it firmly the LED won't move to the next spot. Once on LED6 press the ...uh.. other button, what is it.. maybe inc. The first time you press it, it should light up to what it's currently set on. Check it out and you should see the motor type settings on the manual. Move it to either LED 1 or LED 4 depending on if your brushed or brushless.

If your unsure about doing this make SURE you are set for lipo's if your using them.
