Default NEXX8 durability for outdoor racing?

Hello,

I plan to race a 10h endurance and would like to have your opinion on this question. I already looked at the official thread of the NEXX8 but not many racers use this buggy for real outdoor racing.

So here is my situation: I want to buy a buggy used, I don't have the $$$$ for a new one. I can get either a middle class buggy like the NEXX8 with many options, or a standard 450/500$ buggy for the same price. My main concern is the durability.

What do you think would be the best choice?

I've also looked at squirrel's review on the NEXX and it seems there is not much room for the motor. Will I be able to use a Tekin T8 buggy motor -with the sensored cable connected of course-?

Thanks for your feedback

Sure you can use it in an endurance race if you don't crash!

if it's an endurance race the saddle configuration will hold you back because of the extra time it will take to swap batteries. it's something to consider. what about a d8 converted with tekno v4?

Thanks andrius for the links . Do you eventually have any idea of the quality of the plastics of OFNA?

I also thought about the saddle packs taking time to change but I don't think it would be such a big deal as we will be 3 pilots. Two guys can change two lipos in the same time than one guy would need for a single one. So there's virtually no gain in time with the single lipo setup.

You can shoehorn a T8 motor in there, but I wouldn't recommend it. There isn't even room for a piece of paper between the motor and steering assembly.

This is what I wanted to know thanks . I have such a mixed feeling about the NEXX8.. Could be great but.. Exactly what squirrel his talking about on his video review, now I get the point.

That's a 1900 buggy motor in there.

Thanks I abandoned the idea of getting the NEXX8 for an endurance. Should be a great buggy indoors etc..but I had to many doubts concerning its durability. What's more the feedbacks are hard to find. I think I found what I was looking for I'm interested in a JQ the car (2nd batch) almost brand new that I will convert in brushless.

I have only seen one driver at my local track with the buggy and it was an OFNA employee. The buggy IMO never took off.
