Default kinetic/ballistic 5.5t 540 temps

Hello, while running my FTSC10 at my local outdoor track
Last night,I decided to run my 5.5t stator instead of my 17.5t.
Been having a hard time keeping up with the people running
Castle 4 pole 2400kv motors that people are "gearing to the moon".
So Installed the restatored 5.5t motor geared with a 15.6:1 fdr, to give the castle crowd a lesson in Speed down the straights. After the 7 minute heats, my motor would come
Off at 150-155 and my kinetics temp indicator would blink yellow, indicating hot
operating temps between 148-167. Every heat I tried increasing the
Current limit to get the temps down on the esc, but to no avail at the
End of every heat ,the temps stayed about the same. Even after the 10 minute
Main, the motor came off at 162. And esc temp indicator flashing yellow. Is this normal
for the esc to run this hot with the fan running? Motor temps indicate gearing to be close
any suggestions?

That and does your tranny have any teeth left on any of the gears?

Traction was "on time" if ya know what I mean!! Track was perfect
, truck was hooked up. Speed down the straights was, well, BALLISTIC! As far as
damage to tranny and other components, there aren't any. Throttle. Control did play a big factor though. Barcodes out back was the ticket last night for traction. The usual
stand by enduroes or double dees weren't cutting it.

While I did dominate down the straight, finesse throughout
the rest of track played a role also. Slower, yet more experienced
drivers were still taking home the gold. I have a long way to
go "honing my skills" per say, but have picked up alot since I started six
months ago. I can hang with the best of them, that is, until I fold
like a cheap lawn chair.

Just talked to charlie at NOVAK. My kinetics esc temps are normal
for that much motor being used.
