Default Where to take Motor and ESC Temperature?

Yes, I know this is a stupid question, but where do you take the temp for both from? I am running Mamba Max Pro and 4.5t Tekin. Do I get me temp for the ESC on the top of the fan, or take it just left of the fan on top of the ESC? Get proper motor temp on the top of the motor or on the back plate underneath the wires?

I know it is stupid question, but new to electric and want to do things right.
