Default I dont know what to buy...

I'm kind of new to r/c cars i got into it becuase i drove my friends car several times and thought it was fun and would like to start...i want to get a gas power stadium truck...i was looking at the HPI Nitro RS4 MT 2 RTR or a Traxxas Nitro Rustler. I'm am most likely going to race it but i will also mess around in dirtlots with it too. i want a fast durable stadium truck... i have a budget of 400 dollars. can anyone help me out on what you think is the best stadium truck i can get for 400 dollars? any ideas?
thanks -mat-

YO rexzill_03, welcome to the hobby.
If your lookin' for a good durable stadium truck
a good choice is a Team Associated RC10 GT or
a Team Losi XXX-NT.
both great trucks and the most durable not sure the price but
preety close to $250 i think.
you'll also want to get gas to run the thing, might i suggest ODONALL 20%.
glad to help, if i did.

just a reiteration of the first suggestion

Team Associated RC10GT plus, Ready to Run. everything you need but gas and a glow starter, and its only around 260 bucks at tower hobbies.

I have an old school Nitro Rustler, as you can see in my Signature.

I really think that it's an awesome truck if you want to run around your backyard or hit some bike jumps, but I honestly don't think it's a contender in racing. IMHO it handles terrible on a racetrack compared to say an RC10GT or XXXNT. I personally am thinking about ditching the Nitro Rustler and buying myself a nice XXXNT Setup. The Nitro Rustler actually doesn't have very much adjustability. For example, there's only one shock position on the front shock tower, and two on the rear. Some other things that I don't really like are that they only have philips head screws, and the electronics are a PAIN to work with. There's also A LOT of unneeded weight.

On the other hand, it's a VERY tough truck and has held up to all the abuse I've thrown at it: MX Tracks, BMX Jumps, Sand Tracks, Street driving, backflips, etc, etc, etc.

Get whatever is easier for you to get service for. Like if your LHS carries Team Associated, get the GT, and visa versa.

I still say go with the Losi Machine

I also got to add a nod to the Losi, espcially if your going to be racing. The RC10GT isnt a terrible race truck, but the XXXNT is much more stable and tunable. I wouldnt get the HPI or the traxxas personally, not near the quailty of Losi or Associated, especially when it comes to the drive train.
