In a no boost 17.5 class I really like the Novak ballistic. Got accused of cheating all the time last winter in stock buggy. Lol.

But I think as long as u buy a good quality motor they will all do well. Just gotta be geared and can timed right.

I love my trinity D3 motor I keep getting asked what motor I run at the track and what are the settings because its quick and powerful. I have only ever run the D3.

Honestly, it doesn't matter. Go with whatever you can get the best deal on. I've never lost a race because my 17.5 didn't have the grunt, or RPM of somebody elses' motor.

Before I wore it out, my RTR 20T was more than enough to keep me out front.
I've met some of the strangest people while playing with my toy cars...
