Default 2 cell with a 2200kv

can i run a 2200kv motor with a 2 cell battery on a hyper 9e? if not a 2 cell can i run a 3 cell? and what are the draw backs to running 2 or 3 cells. thanks

A 3 cell lipo will get you closer to the 30,000 RPM sweetspot. The drawbacks of running 2s and 3s is that the 2200kv is going to suck the battery dry in about 5 minutes.

what about in a 2650kv?

It could be too much load for the pack, I think that might be the biggest drawback. Going in a SC truck?

He said it's a Hyper 9e. 1900kv on 4s will have enough power and will have longer runtimes. If you get the 2650kv, you will really limit the amount of cells you could use sucessfully.

I agree with this. It would be a much better solution for you.

They make a 1900kv in both a truggy and a buggy version.
