B4 motor question
ok i have a p2k pro 27 turn in my B4. its pretty slow with that motor, probably less than 20mph. however when i put the same motor in my tc3 it flies! anyone know why this would be? also if i went to a 15 turn mod motor what kinda speed do you think i would get with the B4? thansk for your help!

The B4 has a gear box that is raising the gear ratio. I think it's around 2.6:1 for the gearbox alone not including the spur and pinion. Thats 2.6 turns of the motor while the gears and outdrive make one revolution.
Also the offroad car is no doubt heavier than the on road car.
I haven't seen a tc3 but I am guessing it's a straight pinion to spur gear on a live axle. Your gear ratio is probably lower in this case.

ok, that makes sense. i was thinking of the spur and pinion, but not of the internal ratios from the diffs and transmision. still wondering what kinda speed i will get from a 15 turn motor in a B4. thansk for your help!!!!!!!!!!!

Check your gearing chart in your manual. Your B4 should be only minutely slower than your TC3, the drivetrain in the B4 is very effiecient, as is the TC3's. If you've lost your manual associated website has gearing charts and complete manuals avliable for free download. www.rc10.com
