No offense. But you saying you running 3s sounds like you are not understanding much about brushless and lipos. Saying that you run 3s has nothing to do with race level. It's about the total kv. You can have a 3s outrun a 5s, depending your kv of your motor. If you do not understand this, please inquire. We will be more than happy to explain and help.

I really appreciate your help.
Let me explain myself: I'm on a tight budget so I have to use a combo I already own as I have decided to go for the best kit I can afford instead. It is a SC hobbywing 120A sc8 + 4065SL 2700Kv Ezrun so running on 3S is a must for me :). I know it is not the best for 1/8 but I think it could be enough to have a good time on local "newbie level" tracks.

This morning I made a decision and went for the serpent. I'm really in love with this car, I hope the building will go well as I expect to take as much time as I need. I 'll post some picks when I get it.

On the other hand I'm ordering stuff from amainhob so I would like to know a few spare parts that are a must have for the car.

Thanks a lot for your help, people on this forum is great!

How you going to run 3s in the new serpent? When it's a 2s 2s saddle car, unless you buying the Nitro version and converting?

Using a "Y" parallel connector. I will use two light 3S 2650 nanotech so I get 5300mAh on 11,1v

The trays arent that deep. They can not be bigger than the 2s 5600 nano-tech on hobbycity website. Which is around 25mm height.

The battery dimensions are supposed to be 145x45x18mm. Maybe these are wrong?
What are the exact tray dimensions?
Thank you.

Edit: these i´m considering are not hard case packs...

This is a very tight fit! Anything larger than any of these dimension will most likely not fit without modifications.

Hyperion 3S 3300 soft case lipos fit great! For indoor, I'm running one of those and one Hyperion 2S 3300 with some lead added to balance it out.

That's a good solution for 3s 6600mah and 6s 3300mah solutions :)

Those are too expensive for me. About 75-80$ each on Hyperion EU. But look awesome though...

Got my kit today. I´ll post some packaging photos. I´m so excited but building will take me a few weeks.
