Well, they can't do any worse than Durango. I think it's the most frustrating brand in history  |
Any more insight on this.

i cant wait to see run serpent 811-e buggy on video
|
crazy that im saying this but .....the ve8  truns and handles so good if set up right ...being that the serpent has a flip motor in the front and everything stuffed into the front with the dual 2s nice and neat in the rear ...i just have to think this thing is just going to be a world beater in eletric 8th scale ....i always wanted to try a ve8 after driving one ...but couldnt pull the trigger because of wear and tear and parts replacement ...the serpent will have the same quality everything as the s811 i think we are in for a treat ;)

The Serpent is one of the most durable and least wearing cars out there. No slop developes in anything, unlike Losi or AE cars that get slop in only a few runs. The main weakness in the car is the stock bearings don't hold up well. Stock up on Avid or Tekno bearings and you'll be fine. The original wing mounts were weak, but the V2 ones hold up great. Boil the stock wing in water for 20 min or so and it won't break as easily. Or switch to a JC wing.

I'm coming from a 808 2009 that I converted and I feel quite concerned about the bearings because I had many problems with them in my diff cases. Is it as annoying as on the 808? I've absolutely no doubt about Serpent making great cars, look at what they do for onroad beasts. They are "serious about racing" (does that sound like Durango ) |
