What's wrong with slotted screw heads?? I slot all mine on the bottom of the chassis. I've had other people tell me they don't like that too, but to me it's a big time saver, especially the motor mount screws. Never broken one, and it's been raced hard!

I also put more money into mine than it would've cost to buy a new one. But I nickel and dimed it over the course of a winter. Love my GT! Just bought a used K3 recently, haven't gotten it yet though.

oh theres nothing wrong with it, i even like some of the screws slotted, depending on their application. but when ALL of them are slotted (with a dremmel) and every part threaded into plastic is stripped, i ask questions lol

Heard plenty of things. Nothing concrete though.

im not so sure they even need a new GT yet. i think a few updates may be in order, slightly longer arms to stretch it to roar legal, maybe a bigger flywheel opening, the B4 rear axle washers, nothing major though. its a solid ride

Well as a matter of fact....Been running with the street tires and Sunday there's an open practice here in KC at the Pleasant Hill track. I plan on burning a few tanks in the dirt for the first time with a GT.

Sounds like fun. Can't wait for outdoor tracks to open up around here. I went to a race last weekend with the gt and got absolutely taken to school. Need a tetanus shot I was so rusty!!

Be prepared b/c the gt's don't turn on dirt like they do on pavement!! Little throttle thru the corner, and easy on the out of the corners. Good luck.

Well the practice day was fun. I need a lot more practice! HeHeheh. I even took the Revo out for a spin after I stripped a spur gear. It did suprisingly well with a set of road rages. LOL

so, to bring an old thread back to life... lol

what starter boxes are you guys running on your GTs? I dont really have access to a bunch of them to see which ones fit best. I like the ofna RTR boxes with the power panel, but hell id rather mount up my own power panel and get a box that fits the truck like a glove.

I use the small black ofna one with power panel. Also sometimes use the bigger purple one with the single big motor. Everyone says that is so much better. I don't think so. It's bigger, heavier, and the tire rubs on the motor. I've never had a problem with the duall 550 motors unless it wasn't lined up properly.
