Wow. I was just thinking of him the other day as I listened to an older Horizon hobby podcast with Cliff Lett that mentions Mike Reedy. Very sad news indeed. A true pioneer to this hobby!! My prayers to his family and extended family at Team Associated.

Being a track owner and race I have had the privilege of knowing Mike Reedy.
Mike always had a smile on his face and was always helping anybody who asked.

I think my best Mike Reedy story is when he was at the 2003 On-Road Nationals at our track and he had to have my mom(Naomi) try and get them back together.

Mike is a great man and he will be sorely missed.

I was 18 or 19 years old when I first had the chance to talk to and meet Mike when I got on the AE Team, and I must say, he was a absolutely a first class individual. A pioneer and innovator in the RC Industry, and a pure pleasure to talk to.

I am glad I had a chance to get to know him.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Reedy personally from traveling around to races back 8 years ago for on-road. He is in a better place, and I am almost positive he will continue helping out up in heaven!! Mr. Reedy God Bless from the Bernardo family, and keep doing what makes you happy sir

Sad day. My understanding is he had Parkinsons. Took my dad too, it's a rough road.

Condolences and best wishes to the family and close friends, and countless fans.

A legend in his own time definitely. A true wizard of the winds, in my book & many others.
A bunch of us were watching an old (from 1996) AE video converted to disk on Saturday night, on it we saw Mike working his magic on motors for the team drivers. Nostalgia I know, but days gone by fondly remembered when we were young.
He will be missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his family.

Wow. I had an honor meeting him at the 2004 Snowbirds. I was 14-15years old. What a friendly, super helpful man. I got him to signed my xtreme rc maganize. LOL whats funny is the cover has the new Losi xxx BK2. On the side of the car had Trinity stickers. He crosses them out and puts his name . And what's odd is I been collecting Reedy brush motors lately (NIB) and now his passing. Those motors will have a great place hanging on my wall to represent a legend. You will be miss Mike Reedy

Words cannot describe the deep internal sadness I feel from Mike's passing.

Boss, friend, mentor and one of my personal heros. I had the privilege of working for Mike in the mid-late 80's. I will always remember the great times both in the little building in Santa Ana and the "warehouse" in Costa Mesa. He taught me a lot about electric motors and entrusted me with some then "Reedy Secrets". Some days after work watching the Lakers, eating popcorn (Mike's indulgence that has lasted with me all these years) trading CD's, listening to stories of he and Cecil Schumacher. I remember watching Mike "surf out" the Whittier Narrows earthquake while I ducked under my desk. Memories are flooding in while I type this...

Though I lost contact with Mike after the 1997 On Road Worlds he was always in my thoughts when something he taught me would come up or just simply by popping a bag of popcorn.

You will be greatly missed.

God Speed Mike.
