NeoBuggy: When will the car be available?
Yasunobu Hosoda: The B-Max2 should be available in January 2012 and the price will be very affordable. That was also one of the targets, to keep the price low.

If this has parts support I may try this out. I really like the layout.

Does anyone in the US sell Yokomo?
I assume there are no US drivers either?

I may be way out in left field on this one, but didn't/doesn't Yokomo have close ties to Associated?

And if that's the case, won't/wouldn't that lead you to believe we may also be looking at the B5?

If it is, the devil with the +8 chassis, I'll wait.

I believe they do have ties but I don't think this is a preview of a new AE car.

Back when AE didn't have a 4x4 buggy I remember most of the AE factory drivers ran Yokes.

AE also used to distribute Yokomo in U.S. as well.

Since AE has their own 4wd now and doesn't currently distribute Yokomo I don't think that they really have ties anymore.

Yokomo definately needs to get a U.S. distributor though.

Yokomo was imported by Yokomo USA, In southern California. It is no longer operating but is now being imported and sold by Driftspeed. A full scale proffessional drift shop and Japanese engine/suspension tuning specialists. They offer a variety of Yokomo kits and parts. Bmax 4 (4wd) parts support is offered and I'm sure that the 2wd will be offered as well. I've been getting great parts support for my BD5 (Yokomo tc) through them.

Perhaps. But from my understanding, without a US distributor there is no need to sponsor any US drivers.

That all ended with the Thunder tiger buy-out of associated. All ties between yokomo and AE were severed hence freeing AE up to release the B44 since there was no longer an agreement with yokomo..BTW the Thunder tiger buy-out is also why we stopped seeing the AE kits come with pro-line wheels.
