Will be? My truck works fine. Everyone who's ever driven it says its the best SC104x4 they've ever drove. And that's no accident, I have spent a year and a half developing the setup.

Wish I could get this orchard planted so I could go back to racing it.

Maybe it was someone else, not you that said they had given and gotten all they want out of this thread and were going to unsubscribe. My bad if I confused you with someone else.

Was it you that started the puppy killer? That was my favorite

Oh yeah...

Orchard? Where the hell is the valley of the dirt that you have space for an orchard?
Living in LA I barely have room for a fern (or the patience).

Guilty. That was me.

About halfway between LA and Sacramento. It's a long story, but I bought a foreclosed home on 11 acres (built in 2004) in November for a substantial discount over lot value (house was free); or about half the replacement cost of the house (lot was free). The house needed a complete renovation (previous owner had kept a horse in the back yard :o somebody had vandalized all the fixtures :weird: and countertops :weird: and poured two gallons of diesel on the carpets :weird:) and the lot was six feet tall in tumbleweeds.

Rather than landscape the front yard, I leveled it all and I'm planting walnuts.

fq06 01-03-2013 04:44 PM

Sounds like you may not be running your rig for a while

Planting walnuts... code word? JK.

Let me know if a big race ever brings you down to Westcoast raceway, besides running some laps with you I have a few spares from my 4x that I can pass your way... not needed any more.

I one up your adieu with a good day I said :tire:

Rubber Grommets

Disclaimers: I know this is the SC10 4x4 thread, I already searched and found some answers to my question, I am asking here because I am familiar with this thread and many of the people who regularly post here. As usual any opinions and views will be appreciated.

I have never used the rubber grommets that came with my servos. Should I be using them? Anyone else use them for their 4x4 or other electric rides?

Wild Cherry 01-03-2013 06:41 PM

Rubber grommets are used mostly for nitro applications..

Sc10 4x4 does not use

you can do , not sure if the extra flex would even make much difference.

Hey guys... question for those who have the M2C toe block and the exotek rear hubs.

I installed the toe block and have it currently set to 3.5 degrees. I just installed the exotek rear hubs and was wondering, if I need to shim the inner ball studs? Also to get the 8mm mod, I just need to install the 8mm ball stud and 8mm worth of shims on the outer studs?

I was also curious if all the shimming is necessary at all or if there might be more of a logical way about it....

Thanks for your replies in advance!

VTS 4 pad setup?

I missed this one, lol. Could someone elaborate please?
Thanks.

Wild Cherry is using 4 pads in his VTS instead of the standard 3 slipper pads. He claims its easier to adjust and don't have to tighten spring down as tight on slipper assembly.
Gimme a sec I'll find the post.

Been running the slipper as loose as possible .
A tight slipper only makes the truck more difficult to drive ...

Set the slipper to slip slightly...
On power will be smoother & truck will
not saw off corners when you enter turns ....

Been using 4 slipper pads on the VTS ....:batman:
Give it a try as you will be able to use looser settings and still accelerate faster than a tight 3 pad slipper...

Thanks. I'd love to go to the KO Race this weekend, but I got other plans. The hard work is almost over, me and the Mrs. move in for real tomorrow (the stuff is there).

Tell Danny I said "Lakers win!" He'll get it.

No code, I'm planting these:

Specifically I'm planting Chandlers. I already farm almonds, tomatoes, cotton, pistachios, and alfalfa with my parents.

Can anyone suggest a good brushless setup for my sc10 4x4? Im looking for something that can be bought on tower hobbies on easypay. I had a castle creations sct 3800 combo in my sc10 2wd before but i had temp issues. I want something that will give me some good top speed for outdoor use and some good power for on the track. Can anyone suggest something? I was thinking maybe a mamba max pro 4600kv combo. Something that i can run 2 and 3s lipos. Any help would be apreciated.

Thanks AE for the response. I'm curious as to the physical layout. Extra pad in the basket. WC, could you elaborate please? Photos maybe?

Thanks
Sal
