Large Outdoor Track - Center diff FT-motherfkn-W
Indoor tight Track - VTS proves superior in my truck.

Again, relating to how you drive and whatnot. All of this is opinion based.

Honestly the price tag for the mt4 to me is well worth it over the spektrum, like others have already stated...... The spektrums are known to have interference issue's as well as they don't mix well with high voltage servo's like savox etc......... Another good option is the Futaba 4PL its what I switched to from spektrum and I would never switch back
Yeah, just this week. Finally gave up running the M8 or JR xs Fm radios

Still find myself seeing a ghost antenna and tilting the radio to the right when I'm on the left side of the track & vice versa. Old habits die hard

A lot faster than the M8

Can this kit use hardcase lipos or saddle packs only?

G'day everyone,
Been ages since I've posted but I read the thread every night. Never seem to leave cause I never log out from my iPhone. I'm always in the 'online users' tab. LOL.

Sought of off topic in regards to the SC10 4x4, but I've found the last few posts regarding radios quite interesting.
I'm looking to upgrade my tx soon and I think you've all helped with my decision of the MT4 as my next radio.
Please don't laugh at me but my current radio I use is the traxxas link 2.4GHZ from my Rustler. It's all I know, cause I've only been in the hobby for 2 yrs. I run the traxxas link in all my vehicles. MBX6 ECO, SC10 4x4, & DEX210.
Very noob question as like I said its all I know and I'm used to, but what can I expect to find in the change to a better radio system? It's gonna be a huge learning curve, as I'm used to just 2 trim knobs and a throttle trigger..and steering wheel of course.
I've only just started racing locally here with the SC & pulled 2nd in the AMain on my first night.
Cheers for reading guys.

It can be setup to use either style battery.

Yep! I personally use stick packs. But the hardware comes in the Team Kit to also convert to saddle pack use. Everything you need to do either.

On indoor I run the Center diff with believe it or 3 pins and it seems to work good. Next time I go out I'm going to add 3 more and see what happens.

I'm not familiar with the traxxas radio, but if your only adjustments are knobs the MT-4 or any other decent radio with a LCD screen and digital adjustments will be far better than what your used to.

End point adjustment to set your left and right steering maximum throw to make the car turn the same size circle L & R and also to not be exceeding the physical steering stops stressing the servo.

End point adjustment for the braking channel, you can dial back the max amount of brake when your trigger is full brake. Kind of anti lock braking, set it just to where you barely skid at full brake. Can be adjusted on the drivers stand with one of the hot buttons to fine tune or when traction levels change.

Exponential to soften the initial movement of the steering, throttle, brakes.

The list is very long.

On of the biggest improvements will be the speed that the car reacts to the radios signal.
I never really felt that my radio was slow... till I picked up a new school fast response radio... man was my radio slow in the time it took to steer when I turned the wheel or applied throttle or brake.

Telemetry, not sure it's needed, haven't really played with the temp function. The telemetry rx is double the price of the regular rx is so I got the regular rx for my xxx-4. But since it comes with a telemetry rx I will at least mess with it in my AE and see if it's close to accurate. Or even consistent. If it consistently reads 140 when the temp is actually 160, that's fine I know what temps to look for when practicing.

Ton of radio choices out there, I have had airtronics for years and like their products. The MT-4 seems to have all the bells & whistles that the other extra large behemoth radios have in a nice light standard size package.

EDIT:
Temp sensor is now attached, will check that function out the next time I drive.

I've been painting the murdered out thing for a while. It's a little tough to make it not look ghetto unless you go to a bunch of trouble to mask it twice. Yours looks okay.

Funny enough, I have four (new) sedan bodies trimmed and mounted awaiting a similar fate.
