Default losi ten scte 4x4 track set up page.

Hey guys. Let's start up a set up page. I've tried a couple of the losi racers set ups with good results . But let's get some opinions for you guys. I'm running in upstate ny . My local track is crc raceway and hobby in Rome ny. The track is hard packed 1/8 scale with a loose topping. So you have to be easy on the trigger at times . What do you guys recommend for that kind of surface for diffs and shock pistons and fluids? We already have a great page set up for the scte but I do not see a lot of set ups. So lets use this to do so.........

I started with Casey Packs basic setup and this is what I ended up with, seems to do very well under very 'similar' conditions as yours jim (lol).

A few good mods I did..
  • swiss cheese battery tray, not necessary as aggressive as mine (unless so wanted) as I love mine. (with battery verticle it keeps a super tight center line w/ all) I did lower my tray a little taking off material on the bottom as well bringing cog down as much as I could.
  • 8ight droop pad mod (see the other thread)
  • trim ends on rear bumper to just the core (preventative for damage)
  • Install some carbon towers (losi, integy, xtreme and a few others available)

The stock shocks are great even on a large 1/8 track w/ huge doubles and triples.. the 8ight shocks add a ton of weight to the car, you need the bigger shock just support having them on the car :P I would keep the stock shocks and just go on a diet with your scte. All that CF and weight reduction is nealry washed when you drop on 8ight shocks.

Just my 2c

I`ll have mine this weekend and hopefully up and running by the following week .
I plan to start with Casey Peck`s setup and go from there .

Who makes the diff pins that are in stock ?

Also like to know where to get the CF towers .

Thanks ,

Brian

Carbons.. Losi Carbon, Xtreme Racing, Jamming products, some guy online forget his link snf? and of course integy makes them. The losi I think are still the lightest and still no issues posted online to date that I've seen.. id give the integy ones being most adjustable and really beefy but they are not as light as the losi's.

Right out of the box default profile. Haven't tweeked/changed anything on it. Don't feel the need to. It's a rocket with the 1410 as is.
