brushless set-up in rustler
if i get this esc and motor combo for the rustler about how much speed would i get on a 2s without overheating. is this a good setup for the rustler. im not trying to go 70mph with it.
ESC:

MOTOR:

also in a rustler could that 35a esc handle this motor without heating issues.

that looks like a good setup for a 1/18th scale

Well, its a good thing you aren't trying to go 70 with it because you are probably only gonna go 15. I would stay away from the stuff from china and just go with a nice tekin, castle, or novak setup.

Depends on gearing, but right gearing and I think it might be doable, but I still think it's a bit low.
I have this; http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=7188 in my Stampede, and it works well enough. Go for atleast 50a.

I've explained this. 65a draw from tacon motor through a 35a rated esc, not at all a great idea. The only thing that lies in question, is if the motors amp rating is burst rating vs. constant. I would suggest it's fairly constant, though I could be wrong. Even with a 190 burst rating on the esc, it's a terrible idea.

if your budget is tight, that's all the more reason to not blow it on crap

Check ebay for sc450bl's, its the esc that comes with the associated t4.1 b4.1 rtr trucks, nice esc and you can score them on ebay brand new take outs....

and the motors are good to, just a reedy 3300kv ball bearing motor..

I use these all the time, I have at least 3 in my workstation drawer rite now...
My sons had them in there old rustlers, and they worked very well, stayed cool, went fast, and there very raceable...
good luck

I am running an EZ Run 60a/4000 combo in my Rustler/EDM and it performs very well. This system has been in for over a year and a half and I have had no issues at all.

Someone on another forum was running that Tacon motor (3650) with the 35A ESC and said it worked fine. I'm not sure if it was that kV or 3200kV one. I would have to find the thread. Run it at your own risk, though.
You can find the 60A ESC if you order from China, but it will cost more than hobbypartz.
