Default Electric Truggy Battery?

I have a Losi 8ight-T 2.0 converted electric with a Mamba Monster 2200kv. I'm currently using a 4500 mah 4s lipo but it only last about 12-14 min. I need to make a 15 minute main. Is 20 min possible because I might have to run with the nitros and they go 20 min. Do I have go bigger mah or do I go with a 5s or 6s.

Please help. Racing this weekend and need to figure this out.

Just need more mAH, if you are keeping your current motor...

I run 4s 6500 hyperion lipo's they are awesome I get 17+minutes per pack on the same 2200, on the 1512 1800 more like 20.

If you want to run a 5s or 6s lipo setup you need to swap to a lower Kv rated motor.

Ok thanks. How much is the hyperion? Is it cheaper than the Maxamps?

Way cheaper.. wicked quality. I suggest EC5 connectors if you have not already switched. See PM

maybe this can help too,
at one of the tracks i run at we'll run with the Nitros as well sometimes if there is not enough for a "Electric Class" in Truggy...
the track is pretty big, 200 by 100
sometimes we go 15 sometimes 20min.
if we go 15 most of the guys there usuallt are able with a tad to spare with 6000+ mah 4S packs most will run 2000kv motors.
now nice part if running say a 5 cell get a 1700 or a 1800 truggy motor, with a 5s pack with a 1800kv motor can easily do a 20 minute run,now nice part as well with a lower kv motor say for example the 1700kv can run a 4S and or the 5s packs, just gear it correctly.. at my track i gear mine at
as i run the 1700kv "Truggy motor" if i run 4s i gear it 18/50
and stays cool at about 145-150 after a 15 minute run with the 5000mah packs....
with the 5s i gear it 14 or a 15/50 depepnding on track conditions
keeps same speed feels overall pretty close but i can go 25 minutes...

batteries nowdays can find pretty inexpensive?
for my 5s packs there only $43.00 here in the U.S.
and 40c rate....
i use the 4000mah in the 5s and 5000 and 5500 in 4s
and around the same price...
i usually when i do order one? i'll order it on a monday, and have it before the weekend.....

I recently converted to a 6S/1350kv setup on my E-truggy.

I haven't gotten to test on a track, but after messing around outside for around 15 minutes, I only used 1056mah/5000mah on my 6S lipo. If you can, the switch is worth it.

Hobby king/city has these 4s,5s, and 6s 8000mah 30c-40c Zippy's. They're long, tall, and skinny but they fit the Tekno RC Truggy battery tray just fine. I'm sure they'd last 20 minute mains no problem.

I sent you a PM.
