Default need help setting up slash 4x4's

I'm looking for any tips on setting up my 4x4 slashes for the track. My son is running a stock 4x4 with vxl, the wife is in a plat. with a mmp/vxl, They both have traxxas big bore shocks, and I'm running a plat. with d 8 shocks,mmp/novak ballistic 4.5 550. The track we run 95% of the time is a little tight, with med size jumps. Any ideas on what diff fluid wt. I should run in them. and should mine be a different wt. since I'm running the novak 4.5 I know that when I ran 2wd there was always set up sheets for them. I've yet to find any for the 4x4. Just looking for ideas on different set ups on them. Thanks

Center diffs help if running on a dirt track. I am running the stock shock weight In my big bores. I don't know too much about the d8 shocks and as far as diff fluid it depends on the track surface.

I had the best luck running 30k, 125k, 10k front to rear in the diffs.

I wrote the guide over on rcshortcourse.com on the D8 shock instal, it is complete with shock locations and fluids to use.

The slash 4x4 has some special things to watch for too. The driveshafts MUST be free from binding(the slider portion), or they will interfere with the suspension action. The bearings are also notorious for going out in short order, keep an eye on them for binding. Also, make sure the suspension arms move freely on the hingepins.

Im not running on a track yet. But im trying to set my slash 4x4 up as well. I have a rtr vxl. I installed mip x duty axles which i now think was a bad idea due to the wieght of them but i haven t test drove it yet. I have 30k in the rear. Just got my center diff. It has 100k stock. An i put 80k in the front.
